Hi all, This was posted on Freegle, thought people may be interested As part of European Week for Waste Reduction there is a FREE screening of the award winning Waste Land (www.wastrelandmovie.com) on Thursday 22 November. The film follows artist Vik Muniz as he works with 'pickers', informal recyclers at one of the biggest landfills in the world to create massive pieces of art from the rubbish they collect. Doors open 7.00pm and the movie will be start at 7.45/8.00pm. Before the movie there will be waste free nibbles, upcycling demonstrations and an opportunity to take a look around the maritime museum. If you want to come along you MUST register by emailing wasteeducation@belfastcity.gov.uk as places are limited. Other waste related events are running all week.
