I recently spotted a dome greenhouse in a nearby primary school and got to take a quick look inside. I did a quick web search later and found a site detailing how to go about building one yourself (link below). As we have quite an exposed site I really like is it's wind resistance qualities as well as the fact there is plenty of growing space inside. I built a very rough version of one of those years ago. It rotted because of the condensation. So I would suggest using treated wood but that brings its own problems. Some people might not like that stuff near their food and treated wood tends to be rougher stuff ie not be as straight or knot free so making tight fitting triangles could be difficult.
